I like this idea.
I should have taken a picture every time I bike by The Loop as they build it.

KYMdb - Some Men Just Want To Watch The World Burn

So I was thinking, hey those are the exact same tubs with labels we have at Carrillo. Then I took a closer look at everything, and it is Carrillo.
All signs point to that this was taken at a UCSB dining common and now it is on Know Your Meme. Fun fact.

A Normal Day: Brock Noah
This is what I did this quarter when the lectures in class weren’t keeping my attention. I like to draw but I can’t draw things off the top of my head, I always have to look and copy something. So on the very first day of my first lecture this year I started one of these; I liked the idea and continued to draw me sitting in the lecture halls.

Some I like more than others, some have parts that I really like and some have parts that I think look ugly. <creeper>I think next quarter I’m going to draw the back of the persons head sitting in front of me.</creeper>

This is the second image I have seen that uses internet memes for advertising. It is strange to think that the leaders of tomorrow are the young adults of today, growing up in this era of the ‘birth of the internet.’
On a semi related note, the UCSB Newspaper, the Daily Nexus, sometimes uses internet memes as well, but this time for space filler. Like:
Paula Dean Riding Storke Tower

Nyan Cat with the Daily Nexus

And one Morning Stack article (works of fiction) was titled “Forever Alone Cop” and had this image.

And a few more examples:

Ninefinger

Pretty good, only saw the last 25 minutes probably. Good song choices and their original songs weren’t that bad. The lead singer made a pretty good joke about some girls talking to each other when he was addressing the ‘crowd’ and they weren’t paying attention, so he was like ‘French class was so interesting today!’ During the show he walked up to this girl that was wearing a costume of plastic bags and did a quick dance with her. And the lead singer was really considerate. There was this 2 or 3 year old and her mom watching for a while. They were playing a Rage Against the Machine song and he went over to the mom during the song and said that he was going to start cursing and she might want to cover her daughter’s ears. I thought that was really nice.
